Julian Gerighty Will Lead The Development of Tom Clancy's The Division 3 at Massive Entertainment
In the announcement, Ubisoft has shared that their very own Massive Entertainment based in Sweden will work on the third iteration of The Division. Tom Clancy's The Division was out in 2016, and Julian Gerighty was working as an Associate Creative Director on the team. Gerighty shares his experience of the game's first reveal at E3 2013.
I remember the gameplay promise – the co-op, PvP, the open world RPG aspects. Its world seemed very relatable, and very realistic, like you could really be an agent for change within it.
Commenting on The Division franchise, Gerighty says:
We may have over 40 million players, but The Division is still in its early years as a franchise. There are so many incredible stories to tell, places to explore and people to protect.
Currently, Gerighty is working on Star Wars Outlaws as the Creative Director, and Ubisoft confirms that he will be entirely focused on it until the game successfully meets its end goals. Gerighty will then build a solid team to empower his vision: "The Division needs to be of the highest quality." He will also work on projects like the mobile game Tom Clancy's The Division Resurgence and the survival-action shooter Tom Clancy's The Division Heartland.
