The French video game publisher Ubisoft Entertainment has temporarily suspended Ubisoft Accounts for inactive users. Many users have started receiving emails from Ubisoft informing them that their accounts have been suspended temporarily due to prolonged inactivity for four years. Ubisoft also warned if the users don't log in back to their accounts in the coming 30 days, their accounts will get permanently deleted, and the user will lose access to the games they have purchased.

Ubisoft to Permanently Delete Inactive Accounts if Users Don't Log Back in 30 Days after the Temporary Suspension
After a user shared the email he received on Twitter from Ubisoft, the gaming publisher said that users can avoid it by logging in to their accounts within the next 30 days and selecting the "Cancel Account Closure link." The users who are finding it difficult to log into their accounts can create a support case with the Ubisoft Support team. On their official website, Ubisoft said they must comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, therefore, "close inactive accounts to comply with local data protection legislation."
If, in the past, you have played popular titles from Ubisoft like Assassin's Creed and Far Cry and you have also received an account suspension email from Ubisoft, it would be beneficial if you log into your accounts because the closure of your account will lead to losing access to the games you purchased. The email has pointed out problems related to DRM (Digital Rights Management) and digital games. In the digital world, companies have complete control over when they close a user's account, and users have minimal options to do anything about it. This means that players might lose access to their games and content with little say.
