Despite a shaky start on day one, day two of the Valorant Championship Tour 2024: Pacific Kickoff event went off without a hitch. Day two featured three matches, starting with the highly anticipated Global Esports vs ZETA Division game, followed by Talon Esports taking on Team Secret, and concluding the day was an action-packed game between DRX and DetonatioN FocusMe.
ZETA Division started the day by defeating Global Esports. Talon Esports decimated The Philippines' Team Secret, with a 2-0 scoreline, followed by DRX taking down DFM in the final game of the day. Here's a recap of the second day of Valorant Champions Tour 2024: Pacific Kickoff.

ZETA Division Took Down Global Esports In Their Opening Match Of Second Day Of VCT Pacific Kickoff 2024
In the first best-of-three matchup, ZETA Division started against Global Esports on the map of Bind. The Japanese giants looked in complete control as they started the game with a 7-5 lead in the first half and consolidated it with a 13-10 victory on Bind. On the second map of Icebox, Global Esports showed resilience but ZETA ensured that they secured a clean series victory. ZETA won the map with a 13-7 scoreline and moved one step closer to the playoffs.
In the second game, Talon Esports looked dominant against Team Secret. The Thai team started the series on the map of Breeze, where they secured a 9-3 half. Despite a shaky second half, Talon locked Breeze in their favor with a 13-8 scoreline. On the map of Ascent, Talon Esports destroyed Team Secret with their gameplay. Talon won back-to-back rounds and replicated their 9-3 lead from the first map. In the second map, Talon ensured to win the game without giving away many rounds. Talon Esports won Ascent with a 13-3 scoreline and secured a 2-0 victory over Team Secret.
In the final map of the evening, DRX went against DetonatioN FocusMe. The best-of-three series started on the map of Lotus, with DRX pinning down DFM from the start itself. As the game progressed, DFM tried retaliating but couldn't succeed, resulting in a 13-8 victory in DRX's favour. On the second map of Breeze, DRX looked in complete control of the game as they secured an 8-4 scoreline in the first half. DFM tried to stop DRX from winning the map, but DRX's lead from the first half helped them win the map with a 13-8 scoreline and secure a 2-0 victory in their first game of the season.
For day three of VCT Pacific Kickoff 2024, Gen.G will go against the Pacific Champions, PRX. The game will be followed by the first lower bracket match of the season between Bleed Esports and Global Esports. After their first victories, ZETA Division and T1 will have to fight against each other to become the first team to qualify for the Playoffs.
