Valorant’s latest update, patch 8.05, brings the newest controller, Clove, making her the first Scottish entry in the game. Clove and her abilities revolve around the concept of "a beautiful death." Apart from the addition of Clove, Riot has added a minor update to the Premier mode, where players will have a cooldown period between phone number verification attempts, alongside some bug fixes.

What’s Coming With The Valorant Patch Update 8.05
The major highlight of the Valorant patch update 8.05 is agent number 24, Clove. Clove is a "Scottish Troublemaker" who likes to defy the ultimate limit - death. Most of the abilities revolve around her death, like her ability Ruse (E), where she can push smokes even after dying, or Pick-me-up (C), where she can regain health, temporarily, from a dead enemy. She can even resurrect herself after dying by using her ultimate ability, Not Dead Yet (X). Here are all of Clove’s abilities.
- Ruse (E): EQUIP to view the battlefield. FIRE to set the locations where Clove's clouds will settle. ALT FIRE to confirm, launching clouds that block vision in the chosen areas. Clove can use this ability after death.
- Meddle (Q): EQUIP a fragment of immortality essence. FIRE to throw the fragment, which erupts after a short delay and temporarily decays all targets caught inside.
- Pick-me-up (C): INSTANTLY absorb the life force of a fallen enemy that Clove damaged or killed, gaining haste and temporary health.
- Not Dead Yet (X): After dying, ACTIVATE to resurrect. Once resurrected, Clove must earn a kill or a damaging assist within a set time, or they will die.
Players can recruit Clove by gaining 200,000 XP during the recruitment event or spending 1,000 VP to recruit her instantly. Once the recruitment event ends, players can unlock her by using 8,000 KC.
Apart from the addition of Clove, Valorant has introduced a cooldown period between phone number verification attempts and revamped the voice indicators in-game. With the patch update 8.05, Riot has fixed Iso’s Kill Contract (X) wall bug, added full support for 5.1 and 7.1 multispeaker surround sound formats, and more. Here are the updates from the patch 8.05.

SOCIAL UPDATES
- Voice Indicators
- We made some updates to the voice indicators that appear above an Agent’s head. You will now be able to more clearly see who you can hear and who you can’t. The voice icon will now also show when a teammate is muted or disconnected from voice, and differentiates when a party member is speaking in party voice. The icon for team voice activity is unchanged.
