VCT Americas Last Chance Qualifier 2023 Schedule and Teams
Here are the seven teams competing in the Americas LCQ:
- Cloud9
- 100 Thieves
- Sentinels
- Leviatan
- MIBR
- Furia
- KRU Esports
On July 15, MIBR and KRU Esports will face off in the first round of the upper bracket of the VCT Americas LCQ. The seven teams will compete in a bracket using hybrid elimination. This means that while the latter rounds of the event will be double-elimination, some of the matches will be single-elimination. The lower and grand final matches are the only contests that will not be best-of-threes, favoring best-of-fives instead.
All eyes are on Cloud9 to prove why they are still one of the top Valorant teams in the region. C9 had an incredible regular-season run only losing to LOUD. One of the biggest surprises of the year was Cloud9 missing out on the Masters after an outstanding 8-1 Regular Season run. They suffered devastating overtime losses to NRG and Evil Geniuses during the playoffs before falling quickly to the eventual Tokyo champions. KRÜ was the squad that performed the poorest at VCT Americas, going winless and 0-9 through the Regular Season.
Format
- Five teams compete in a single-elimination bracket.
- The top two teams advance to a double-elimination bracket where they will have to face Cloud9 and Leviatan.
- All matches except the Grand Finals and Lower Finals are best-of-threes.
- Grand Finals and Lower Finals are best-of-fives.
