VCT Ascension Pacific: Quarter Finals Recap
The first match kicked off with SCARZ getting off to a strong start, leading 4-0 on Split, and finishing the half at 9-3 with an amazing Ace by Kr1stal in round 8. Fancy tried to pick up the pace by winning four rounds in a row in the second half, eventually trailing by just 2 rounds at 7-9. However, that's all SCARZ gave them, finishing the map at 13-9, winning the map with a flawless 'Thrifty' round win. Kr1stal had a whopping ACS of 341 and 28 Kills.
The second map was nail-bitingly close with the first half closing at 6-6 and both teams looking evenly matched. The trade game continued and the match was eventually pushed to Overtime. Ultimately, SCARZ managed to convert their map pick of Bind into a win and ended Fancy United's journey for this tournament.
The second match was between Bonkers and BOOM. Kicking things off on Haven, things looked to be completely in BOOM's favor as they led the first half 9-3. They managed to win Bonkers' map pick dominantly with a score of 13-6. The second map went a lot closer. Initially, BOOM was leading 5-2, but Bonkers flipped the half in their favor at 5-7. Pearl was won by BOOM with a close score of 13-11, thus qualifying them for the Semi-Finals. Bonkers, the beloved underdogs of the tournament, had a good run in the event for an orgless Valorant squad, earning them much praise and respect.
Only four teams are left to compete for the top spot in the championship. The semi-final fixtures are:
- NAOS vs. SCARZ
- BLEED Esports vs. BOOM Esports
