VCT China is one of the four leagues in the Valorant Champions Tour Partnership League with fans worldwide speculating which teams would make it to the playoff phase of this tournament. Currently, 11 teams in VCT China Kickoff are facing each other in a GSL tournament format.
The teams that win both their matches in their group stages will qualify for the playoff phase of the tournament. The fourth day of the event consisted of three thrilling matches that kept fans on their toes. These matches will decide the three squads taking part in the VCT China Kickoff Play-in Stage. Trace Esports Becomes First Team To Secure VCT China Kickoff Play-In Spot
The first game of day 4 of the VCT China Kickoff Group stages was between Trace Esports & Nova Esports. These two teams previously faced off at the VCT China Evo A1: Variation tournament. In that B03 series, Trace Esports won with a score of 2:1. In this game, the first map was played on Split which was the map pick of Nova Esports.
Trace Esports began the match with quite some momentum, winning the first 5 rounds of the map with ease. The first half of this map ended with a score of 7-5 with Trace Esports in the lead on defense. In the second half, Trace Esports was on the attack and won the first 6 rounds of the half. This secured the win for Trace Esports with a score of 13-5. The player to watch was none other than Yip Man “YOU” Ho. He played the agent Skye and had an Average combat score of 287 & a KDA of 19/9/14.
The second map of this match was played on the map of Lotus. Trace Esports won the first 2 rounds of this map before Nova Esports initiated an early recovery and won the next 3 rounds, taking the lead 3-2. In the next 7 rounds of the first half of this map, Trace Esports won 6 rounds while being on the defense. When Trace Esports was on the attack in the second half of the map, they won the first 5 rounds and secured the win with a score of 13-4. Song “FengF” Xuefeng was the MVP with an Average Combat Score of 349 and KDA of 20/9/7.
Titan Esports Club Complete The Reverse Sweep Against JD Gaming & Secure A Spot At The VCT China Play-ins
The second match of the day was between Titan Esports Club and JD Gaming. They had faced each other in their first game in the group stage. During that B03 series, Titan Esports Club secured the win with a 2-0 scoreline. The first map of this rematch was played on the map of Bind which was the map pick for JD Gaming. Titan Esports Club won the first two rounds but couldn't hold on to the lead and their momentum.
JD Gaming won 8 of the next 9 rounds while attacking and secured the 8-4 lead in the first half. Titan Esports Club were on the attack in the second half but it didn’t work in their favour. JD Gaming won 5 out of the 6 rounds played in that half and secured the win with a score of 13-5. The player to watch was Viva who ended the map with a KDA of 17/7/3.
The second map was a close affair between the two teams. Titan Esports Club won 7 out of the first 12 rounds of the map. But in the second half, JD Gaming took the lead and nearly won the map as well. After the completion of round 21, JD Gaming was in the lead with a score of 12-9. Titan Esports Club won the next three rounds to take the game to overtime and won the map with a score of 14-12 and took the game to map 3. Both Stew and Rb were also incredible on this map.
Map three was played on Lotus and Titan Esports Club won the map with a score of 13-10. This game was simply a display of dominance by Li “QiuYe” Runtao. He ended this game with an Average combat score of 273 and a KDA of 23/14/4.

Bilibili Gaming Secures the Third Spot At The VCT China Kickoff Play-ins
Bilibili Gaming faced off against Wolves Esports in the last game of the group stages. These two teams previously faced off in the first game of their group. During that game, Wolves Esports defeated Bilibili Gaming with a score of 2-0. Bilibili Gaming came with the clear intention of not allowing history to repeat itself.
The first map was played on the map of Sunset and this was the map pick of Bilibili Gaming. Wolves Esports started this map on top, being in the lead in the first half with a score of 7-5. In the second half, while Bilibili Gaming was on the defensive, they activated the kill switch protocol. They dominantly won 8 rounds, allowing Wolves Esports to just win 2 in the second half.
Bilibili Gaming won map one with a score of 13-9. The player to watch during this map was Wang “whzy” Haozhe. He ended the map with an Average combat score of 305 and a KDA of 23/17/4.
Map 2 was another close affair on Icebox. Bilibili Gaming ended the first half having an incredible lead of 9-3. Bilibili Gaming secured map two with a score of 13-10. The player to watch during this map was Wang “Yosemite” Lei. During this map, he had a KDA of 20/15/8.
Taking a look at all three Valorant teams that have qualified for VCT China Kickoff Play-ins, Bilibili Gaming is the favorite to win and secure a spot in the playoffs. Titan Esports Club is also another strong contender that might make it to the playoffs of the VCT China Kickoff Tournament.
