In the latest business update by Microsoft, the company has officially confirmed the speculations by announcing the arrival of four games to rival platforms. The multiplatform release plans include Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded. The update confirmed the plans to release the four games on other console platforms.
The rumors of the four games arriving on rival platforms have been around the web for a long time. Since the rumors, gamers also started drawing speculations on other Xbox-exclusive games arriving on the rival platforms, such as Starfield. However, Microsoft and Bethesda later confirmed that the space epic will not be available for PlayStation anytime soon.

Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded Arriving on Rival Platforms Following Official Microsoft Business Update
While the four games are coming to the other consoles digitally, Limited Run Games has also stated that there are plans to release physical edition copies for Pentiment on Xbox, PS5, and Nintendo Switch, alongside Hi-Fi Rush for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. CEO of Microsoft Gaming, Phil Spencer stated that Xbox exclusive titles, Starfield and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle were considered for a PlayStation 5 release; however, they will not go to the platform this time. On the other hand, he also claimed that no one should rule out the games going multiplatform in the current industry standard.
In Xbox's own statement, Xbox must continue to evolve to ensure long-term success for both the company and the industry. “Today we announced that we will expand the communities we reach: we are currently in the process of bringing four Xbox games to other platforms."
According to Microsoft, these hidden gems which were available to the Xbox owners for over a year deserve more global recognition and wide access to other console gamers. Live service titles such as Sea of Thieves will benefit from the welcoming players. The Xbox maker will reveal more details on the future titles soon. At the end of the statement, Microsoft claimed that by bringing the games to more players they not only expanded the reach and impact of the titles but also allowed the company to invest in future versions of the games or other first-party portfolios.
