In a shocking revelation, co-owner of S8UL, Lokesh 'Goldy' Jain informed his audience that S8UL has filed a case against an Instagram fan page for morphing the images of female content creators and harassing them. For the unversed, S8UL Esports is an Indian organization that deals with Esports and content creation. Over the last few years, S8UL has had a friendly in-game rivalry with GodLike Esports, and though it remains that, fans have taken it to extremes. Taking a strong stance against harassment, these incidents have been reported by the creators, and now, action is being taken.

S8UL Content Creators Face Cyber Abuse
Over the last few months, content creators of S8UL, especially popular female content creators, have been facing a lot of online abuse. People have been using their images without their consent and have been altering them and directing a lot of abuse towards them. A lot of harassment pages have been hiding behind the guise of being GodLike supporters and doing such things.
In June this year, Payal Dhare, a content creator from S8UL narrated the extent of hate she was getting online. She said she was getting assault and murder threats. 8bit Goldy had to intervene in this situation and take matters into his own hands. Since a lot of those pages had Gxdl in their user name (commonly used to denote GodLike Esports), he had to reach out to Abhijeet 'Ghatak' Andhare, the manager of GodLike Esports and asked him to deal with the situation. Ghatak was prompted to ask those fan pages to stop spreading hate and said that it didn't feel like those fan pages were actually fans, but just evil minds hiding behind social media. He said:
I see lots of Instagram handles using GodLike’s name and spreading hate to other players and organizations. Using our name and spreading hate doesn’t make you a fan. You are simply a toxic kid hiding behind social media.
Additionally, 8bit Godly also highlighted that one of the owners of such a fan page was arrested by Mumbai police and he is currently in Santa Cruz jail. The page was owned by a 24-year-old engineer who was morphing the images of female content creators and was mentally and verbally abusive towards them. Goldy also added that this person's bail plea was also rejected.
I had filed a case against an Instagram page that was sharing morphed images of the creators. The police have caught the owner of the page. The owner of the page is 24 yr. old engineer. There are many such page owners and one of them is underage and a juvenile case is being done on him.
8bit Goldy had earlier announced that the hate that their creators are getting is a little out of hand, and soon they would start filing police complaints against them. Mamba, who is also a part of the organization, said that most of these pages that spread hate are run by underage individuals and are under the misconception that since they're juveniles, they wouldn't face strict action. These offenders are in fact sent to juvenile homes and this becomes a part of their permanent record, a consequence that many don't consider. With these arrests, hopes are that harassment against creators online will go down.
