The co-owner of 8bit Creatives and and S8UL, Lokesh 'Goldy' Jain has been facing a lot of backlash because Team 8bit Esports was taking tryouts of a player who was allegedly using cheats in the 2023 competitive year. The player, Blaxx, who belonged to Team Mayavi was the player in question, and as soon as the Soul and 8bit fans got the news of the tryout, they started questioning the decision, who they thought was taken by 8bit Goldy.

After the IGL of 8bit Esports shared Blaxx's reel on his broadcast, a lot of people understood that Blaxx was giving tryouts for the organisation. In addition to this, Blaxx also added "Athlete for 8bit Esports" in his Instagram bio, informing his audience of the same.
After this incident when 8bit Goldy came for his live stream, his audience started asking him a lot of questions about Blaxx and why he was added to the roster. People also started giving him hate for the decision. At this point, 8bit Beg4Mercy, who owns the 8bit Esports lineup uploaded an Instagram story saying that he is the only one who makes decisions for 8bit Esports, and all the questions should be directed to him and not to anyone else.
Despite this, the hate towards 8bit Goldy did not stop, and people started questioning S8UL as an organisation and the way they work. People started calling the three co-founders names and started questioning if they were trying to get cheaters in the community and whitewashing their past because of the huge S8UL fanbase.
At this time, the other two co-owners, Mortal and Thug intervened and told their audience that it made no sense for the people in the community to target one person despite a clarification had been given to the people about who makes the decisions, and that the people trying to spread propaganda will be dealt tactfully. Mortal also posted on his broadcast:
All those who had ill intentions in the pretext of raising voices for good, unfortunately, you guys specifically, have fallen deeper than you ever could. All those who are trying to target individuals in s8ul. I feel sorry for you. Baaki maza aara hai apna kaam karte rehene me. Positive raho, kuch nahi hona despise kar k. Na tum badhe, na hum gire. Baaki jo sache ho. Love you all.
After this incident, Mercy informed his audience that Blaxx's tryouts were over and he would not be getting added to the roster. It was later announced that Macc is joining 8bit Esports as an assaulter.
