Nintendo Switch’s successor might release sooner than anyone was expecting. According to various sources, it could happen in the first quarter of 2024. According to sources, MoneyDJ, Chinese metal case manufacturers will see an exponential rise in sales next year. This points to the release of new hardware which can promise the kind of sales boost only reserved for certain consoles and hardware, possibly a new console by Nintendo.

Reports suggest Nintendo Switch’s successor is slated for a 2024 release
The report further elaborates that Nintendo is also already in talks with various manufacturers to get the console mass-produced. Recently, leaks emerged that pointed to the successor going by the code name NX 2. The Switch also went with the code name NX. This gives the people all the more reasons to believe NX 2 could be the successor.
Nintendo planning to make a smooth transition
In a Q and A session hosted by Nintendo they had clarified that Switch users will be able to transition from Switch to the newer one very smoothly. Shuntaro Furukawa, CEO and president of Nintendo also added that this transition will take place with the help of players' accounts.
It was also mentioned that the console maker is also going to keep a lot of things into consideration when they get to making the new body for the successor to accommodate the hardware needs. Details about the upcoming console remain sparse.
In addition to this, a Spanish studio also reportedly received a devkit for the upcoming Nintendo console. It is alleged that the Nintendo successor is developing well. However, it will not be out till the spring of 2024.
